Peg Smythies
Peg taught embroidery, glove making, weaving, fabric printing, dress design and painting at various art colleges during the late 1940's and 50’s. During this time she also worked as a freelancer for various companies producing designs for clothes and theatrical costume up until the late 1970’s. In the mid 1950’s she was chief designer for the lingerie department at Charnos. Below are a few examples of the work she produced during that time, including teaching aids for the classes she taught.
